When summer rolls around every year, all I want to do is lay by the pool sipping on frozen margaritas. Imagine how good it feels to drink this Frozen Cherry Limeade Margarita to refresh and rehydrate from the hot sun!

Frozen Cherry Limeade Margarita
I love Homemade Limeade for an alcohol-free way to cool off, but you can’t beat this frozen concoction when it’s just the adults by the pool. (Did you pick up on that Jimmy Buffett reference?)
As a kid, my very favorite drink in the world was a cherry limeade from Sonic, as the flavor always reminds me of summertime, no matter what time of year it is. I finally made my own Homemade Cherry Limeade recipe (there’s a regular and a cocktail version), but that just wasn’t enough.
I had to take it up a notch and create this amazing Cherry Limeade Margarita recipe for the ultimate summer happy hour. And better yet, it’s a FROZEN cherry limeade margarita, because icy drinks are a necessity on pool days.

Serving Suggestions
If you’re hosting a summer get-together and serving up this refreshing frozen cherry limeade margarita, this gooey white queso dip paired with crispy homemade tortilla chips would make the perfect appetizer or snack. Or you can always prepare some creamy homemade hummus and serve with homemade wonton chips.
There must be more than 3 Tablespoons of Tequila for this entire recipe to serve 4. 1 shot or jigger is 3 TB. Is this a typo? Hope so!
You can always add as much as you want! I started on the lighter side!
Looks amazing but frozen drinks bother me. Do you have a good conversion to “on the rocks”. Thanks
Also, what type of blender do you use? I have an older Ninja. It didnt get really slushy. Mostly just chunks of ice that floated/seperated to the top.
How did you get the bright red color? I bought some Santa Cruz Tart red cherry juice from the organic section at my market but it did not give it the red color. I did not see anything called “concentrate”. They tasted good but did not taste much like cherry.
I am curious as to what size of a can of limeade. I could only find a big one (I think 12 oz.) Is this the correct size?
I am so excited to try this! Thanks for the recipe!

Yes, that will work great!!! Hope you love the recipe :)
These look just fabulous. We have Sonic here in the deep South (Mississippi) and you are so right…….the cherry limeade does taste like summer!
My favorite!! Thanks for stopping by Nita!
So what are the calories in these bad boys????
If you get 4 drinks to a pitcher they’re about 175 calories each. Not too bad! This drink really doesn’t have much to it. Hope you love them! :)
Those cocktails are looking amazing! I often have cocktail nights with my friends and can’t wait to try your recipe!
thanks so much!! hope you and your friends love them <3
